These surveys
can be used to determine traffic flows through different areas of the particular
place of interest and can be used to determine future needs in terms of
improved road infrastructure, eg bypass. They can also be used in the planning
of developments and the effect these would have on the normal traffic flow
conditions.
Journey time surveys can also be undertaken at the same time to identify
troublesome areas and help identify specific problem junctions and delays
relative to the OD information obtained. |
